Intune supports a variety of app types, including web apps. A web app is a client-server application. The server provides the web app, which includes the UI, content, and functionality. Additionally, modern web-hosting platforms commonly offer security, load balancing, and other benefits. A web app is separately maintained on the web. You use Microsoft Intune to point to this app type. You also assign the groups of users that can access this app.

Before you can manage and assign an app for your users, add the app to Intune.
In the Safari app on your Mac, use Websites preferences to customize how you browse individual websites. To change these preferences, choose Safari Preferences, then click Websites. The settings you can customize (such as Reader and Content Blockers) are listed on the left. To apply a setting to a website on the right, first select the setting, then choose the option you want from the pop-menu next.
Intune creates a shortcut to the web app on the user's device. For iOS/iPadOS devices, a shortcut to the web app is added to the home screen. For Android Device Admin devices, a shortcut to the web app is added to the Intune company portal widget and the widget needs to be pinned manually by the user. For Windows devices, a shortcut to the web app is placed on the Start Menu.
Note
A browser must be installed on the user's device to launch web apps.

For iOS devices, new web clips (pinned web apps) will open in Microsoft Edge instead of the Intune Managed Browser when required to open in a protected browser. For older iOS web clips, you must retarget these web clips to ensure they open in Microsoft Edge rather then the Managed Browser.
For legacy device admin Android devices, web links pinned through the Company Portal widget can only open with the Intune Managed Browser if users' Company Portal version is older than 5.0.4737.0.
Add a web app to Intune
To add an app to Intune as a shortcut to an app on the web, do the following:
Sign in to the Microsoft Endpoint Manager admin center.
Select Apps > All apps > Add.
In the Select app type pane, under the available Other types, select Web link.
Click Select. The Add app steps are displayed.
On the App information page, add the following information:
Name: Enter the name of the app as it is to be displayed in the company portal.
Note
If you change the name of the app through the Intune azure portal after you have deployed and installed the app, the app will no longer be able to be targeted using commands.
Description: Enter a description for the app. This description is displayed to users in the company portal.
Publisher: Enter the name of the publisher of this app.
App URL: Enter the URL of the website that hosts the app that you want to assign.
Category: Optionally, select one or more of the built-in app categories, or a category that you created. Doing so makes it easier for users to find the app when they browse the company portal.

Require a managed browser to open this link: Select this option to assign to your users a link to a website or web app that they can open in the Intune managed browser. This browser must be installed on their device.
Logo: Upload an icon that will be associated with the app. This icon is displayed with the app when users browse the company portal.
Click Next to display the Scope tags page.
Click Select scope tags to optionally add scope tags for the app. For more information, see Use role-based access control (RBAC) and scope tags for distributed IT.
Click Next to display the Assignments page.
Select the group assignments for the app. For more information, see Add groups to organize users and devices.
Click Next to display the Review + create page. Review the values and settings you entered for the app.
When you are done, click Create to add the app to Intune.
The Overview blade of the app you've created is displayed.
Note
Currently, deployment of Intune web apps to iOS/iPadOS devices is associated with the management profile and cannot be removed manually. You can change the deployment type to Uninstall in the Intune portal, at which point the web app can be removed automatically. However, if you remove the deployment before changing the app assignment intent to Uninstall, the web app will be permanently in place on the device until the device is un-enrolled from Intune.
End-users can launch web apps directly from the Windows Company Portal app by selecting the web app and then choosing the option Open in browser. The published web URL is opened directly in the web browser.

Chances are, you have more than one email account. One for personal use and one for work. If you live in the age of the internet, you’ve also got access to your company’s social media profiles. And you just can’t make the mistake of mixing them up with your personal ones.
What do you do? Get a dedicated mail app and add multiple email accounts? Yes, but then there’s an extra fully featured app eating up your RAM. And what about different profiles? Open them up in a whole different browser or incognito tabs? That’s hardly sensible.
There’s an app that can end all your multi-profile woes. Fluid allows you to run websites in their own browser windows, just like they would if they were a standalone app. The app uses Safari data (logins and cookies), doesn’t take up much resources and as they are websites wrapped up in Mac windows, you don’t need to learn how to use a whole new app. Win-win.
How To Use Fluid
Fluid is a free app (with a $5 upgrade, more on that below). Once downloaded, open it up. Here you need to enter the details for the app you want to make.
Enter the web address, the name you want to give the app, the location where you want to save the app (defaults to Applications folder), and finally you can add your own icon or just choose the website’s default favicon.
Click Create, give the app some time and you’ll get the Success dialogue box. Your personalized app is ready to go.
Note: You’ll need to pay $5 for an upgrade if you want each window to have its own cookies. That way you can run different accounts for the same website (for example, Gmail) in different apps. Without the upgrade, Fluid will just use Safari data (meaning only one login per site).Adding A Custom Icon
Other than the name, the app icon is how you’re going to identify your web app. And when you have multiple apps for different accounts for the same site, the icon is going to be the biggest visual differentiator.
Fortunately, the community has already created hundreds of high quality icons for every mainstream web app out there. This Flickr Pool has more than 700 such images. And you can use Google search to find more. Just search for Fluid app (app name) icon.
To add a custom icon, when you’re making the app, instead of the option Use Default Favicon use the dropdown menu and point to the file you downloaded.
The Upgrade
Fluid is a free app but offers a $5 upgrade that unlocks a lot of interesting features.
For starters, your web app will have separate cookies for each window and won’t be reliant on Safari. The free app depends on Safari logins and data to function. If you pay for the upgrade you can run web apps with different logins than Safari (which is the biggest advantage of using Fluid).
You can also pin mobile sites to the menu bar. You can get similar functionality (running mobile sites in their own windows) by using Monochrome browser, which is free.
You also get support for user scripts and the ability to run apps in fullscreen mode.
