Yes, all subscriptions come with access to both versions, which can be installed on as many computers as you wish (but they must all use the same Quicken ID).
That said, the two platforms cannot access the same data. The data files are not compatible. They must be converted to move from one to the other. And the conversions are not perfect and have limitations.

  • Okay, thank you.
I saw there faq page regarding multiple systems, but they do not specify if it is operating system interchangeable.
  • Hi @Sgtkeebler ,
The operating system, do not take the same installer. You need to download for MAC and for Windows. The platforms, like smayer97 stated is accurate.
You must do dual bookkeeping. Not everything that is available for Windows, has not reached MAC, yet.
    For Windows procedure, only: https://community.quicken.com/discussion/7844658/installing-reinstalling-windows-quicken-subscription-editions
After installation for MAC or Windows give information on the operating system and Quicken R# plus edition you are running.

Hello when I meant was Quicken does not specify that you can install quicken on multiple operating systems. It just says multiple computers in the faq and multiple computers can mean a couple of different things.

    New to Quicken

Can I use the Quicken on more than one computer?

Yes. You can install Quicken on as many computers as needed in the same household. Each installation will be registered to your Quicken ID. We do not recommend sharing data files on a network/cloud drive.

Also you can only use one Quicken USER ID between the installations, unless you buy another Quicken Subscription and associated it with a different Quicken USER ID.

Back in the day, Quicken was “the bomb” when it came to money management. When Quicken first launched in 1983, personal finance nerds everywhere were overjoyed.

The personal finance software program allowed people to manage their money on a computer instead of on paper. You could create a budget, record banking transactions and more.

However, it’s the 21st century now and things have changed. Although Quicken has done well at keeping up with changing technology, there are other budgeting software’s out there. Some have trumped Quicken in terms of features and benefits.

You might find that these Quicken alternatives make money management easier — and even fun.
